Late morning transfer to Hull for the overnight ferry crossing to Rotterdam. (Meals not included).
We disembark and travel south through Holland into Germany and onwards to the Black Forest region for 2 nights half board accommodation at the Best Western Hofgut Sternen Hotel, near the town of Hinterzarten.
Today we travel through evergreen covered mountains, synonymous with the Black Forest region, to the impressive Lake Titisee. The largest natural lake in the Black Forest, you will have free time to take a lake cruise or explore some of the picturesque towns set on its shores.
We depart the Black Forest taking in magnificent scenery as we travel via Bern and Lausanne to Talloires, on the shores of Lake Annecy in the French Alps, for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Hotel Les Grillons.
We enjoy a full day in Chamonix today, spectacularly located in a valley at the base of Mont Blanc. Take in the stunning scenery as you wander the picturesque streets or explore all the sights of the town centre aboard the miniature tourist train.
This morning our first stop is Albertville, venue of the 1992 Winter Olympics and home to the Olympic Museum as well as the medieval quarter of Conflans. We then continue through the scenery of the Savoie region to the renowned spa town of Aix-Les-Bain, set on the shores of the beautiful Lake Bourget.
A free day to explore nearby Annecy today. Explore the medieval town with its pastel coloured buildings, cobbled streets and meandering canals of crystal clear, turquoise water. Take in the Imperial Palace, the baroque Cathedral of Saint-Pierre or walk down the Rue Royale with its opportunities for shopping, dining and people-watching.
We leave Annecy today and travel through France to the city of Reims for our overnight stay at the Mercure Reims Parc Des Expositions Hotel.
Departing Reims after breakfast we travel north to the Flemish city of Bruges, famed for its beautiful medieval architecture and abundance of chocolate shops, before transferring to Zeebrugge for our overnight ferry crossing to Hull. (Meals not included).
Hull to local area. Arrive home lunchtime.
