Take a fascinating journey through the life of the country's last open-pan salt making site at the restored and historic Lion Salt Works near Northwich. Discover how the salt works operated and the impact of salt on mid-Cheshire's people, economy and landscape (2.25hr stay). Later we take a short drive to Bridgmere Garden Centre where you will find superb choice of plants, shrubs, garden accessories and tools, plus a lovely cafe offering a range of cakes, snacks and meals (2.25hr stay).
