The 3 star Ramada Resort Grantham Hotel is in a countryside location yet within easy access to Lincolnshire and surrounding area. All the en suite bedrooms are equipped with TV, telephone, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, Wi-Fi and tea making facilities. There is a restaurant and bar, Leisure club with spa, pool, sauna and steam room. There is a lift.
We depart mid-morning and transfer to Belton House, a lovely country house set among 36 acres of formal gardens and 1300 acres of parklands. Later in the day we make the short journey to the Ramada Resort Grantham for 3 nights half-board accommodation.
Our first visit this morning is to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, a collection that reflects and celebrates the culture of Lincolnshire and its people from 1750 to the present day. The remainder of the day is free to explore Lincoln, home to one of the finest cathedrals in the UK.
This morning we travel via Oakham and Uppingham to Boughton House, one of Britain’s grandest and best-preserved stately homes. As well as the House, you can also enjoy the 18th-century landscaped gardens, the woodlands and a grand country park. We return via the town of Stamford.
We depart for home and enjoy a guided tour of Southwell Minster. We continue our journey via the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, arriving late afternoon.
