The Malvern Hills divide the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire and provide a beautiful backdrop to this new tour. Our base for the weekend is the charming Whitehouse Hotel, situated in the centre of historic Worcester, with its cathedral overlooking the River Severn.
The 4 star Whitehouse Hotel is set in the heart of Worcester, close to the shops, cafes and central attractions. Foregates Brasserie serves good quality meals and there is a bar to relax in after dinner. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, safe, complimentary toiletries and Wi-Fi. The hotel has a Leisure Club with swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and fully equipped gym. There is a lift.
We travel south via Shrewsbury and Ludlow arriving mid afternoon for 3 nights half board accommodation at the Whitehouse Hotel in Worcester.
Today we take the short drive to the former spa town of Malvern with its Georgian architecture, mediaeval Priory and wide range of independent shops. We continue to Eastnor Castle near Ledbury, an impressive Norman style castle surrounded by lakes, a deer park and arboretum. We return to our hotel via Tewekesbury.
We travel to the riverside market town of Evesham today. The black and white mediaeval buildings give this town a sense of history and there are also many shops and cafes to sample. The world famous Stratford upon Avon is our next stop. The birthplace of William Shakespeare and home to the RSC has quaint side streets, unique shops and riverside parklands - something for everyone.
We travel home with a suitable stop arriving into our local area late afternoon.
