We journey to Holyhead to board the early afternoon Stena Line ferry to Dublin. We then journey to Enfield for overnight half board accommodation at the Johnstown House Hotel.
After a relaxing start we travel across Ireland. We journey via the towns of Athlone, situated on the River Shannon near the southern shore of Lough Ree, and Killbeggan to Galway for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Menlo Park Hotel.
This morning we enjoy some free time to explore the beautiful harbour city of Galway and get our bearings. Later we take a boat trip aboard the Corrib Princess taking in spectacular views of Galway Bay, the River Corrib and Lough Corrib as we enjoy our tea/coffee and scones.
We tour the Connemara National Park today, situated on the west coast of Ireland at the very edge of Europe. It is beautiful, unspoilt and the real emerald of Ireland. We call at Leenane for a coffee stop before continuing to the bustling town of Clifden, where we have time to explore and have lunch. We travel through the magnificent mountains and lakes of this beautiful region, visiting Oughterard as we return to Galway.
Today we travel south into County Clare and tour the limestone landscape of the historic Burren. We include a visit to the Burren Centre in Kilfenora, with its tea room, craft shop and exhibition on the history of this unspoilt corner of Ireland. Later we head to the coast via Lahinch and then visit the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, where we will stop for lunch. We continue north along the coast to Blackhead and Kinvara before returning to our hotel.
We leave our hotel and Galway today, travelling across to the east coast and the city of Dublin. Enjoy some free time to explore this vibrant city before we continue to Bray for our overnight stay at the Wilton Hotel Bray.
We depart our hotel, after a 'Grab & Go' breakfast and transfer to Dublin for our early morning sailing to Holyhead (breakfast included on-board). Travelling through North Wales, we arrive back into the local area late afternoon.
