We spend the day touring the Isle of Mull, including a visit to Tobermory, a picture-postcard port with its brightly coloured harbour-front buildings famous as the setting of children's TV show Balamory.
Departing Mull we join the morning ferry to Oban where we then enjoy some free time. Later we travel down the Kintyre’s east coast to Tarbert, an idyllic Scottish village also known as the gateway to the beautiful peninsula of Kintyre. Late afternoon we make the short journey to Claonaig to join the 16.20 sailing to Lochranza. We arrive on Arran and make our way to Blackwaterfoot and the Best Western Kinloch Hotel for 3 nights half board accommodation.
Morning visit to Arran’s Malt Whisky Distillery where you will enjoy a tour and a wee dram! Afterwards there will be an INCLUDED lunch followed by a tour around the North of the island. The pretty villages on Arran's beautiful north coastline are complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior, here we have a chance to discover the remarkable diversity of landscapes, seascapes and wildlife.
Today we visit Brodick Castle, which is owned by the National Trust for Scotland. This is a castle you’ll never forget. The setting is staggering, fronted by the sea, bedecked with gardens and overlooked by the majestic mountain of Goat Fell.
