Against the magnificent backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, join us once again to experience the Edinburgh Tattoo’s unique blend of music, ceremony, entertainment and theatre. This is a chance to witness the enthralling spectacle which draws thousands of people year after year with its magical atmosphere, featuring the world famous massed pipes and drums, military bands, highland dancers and the haunting sound of the lone piper, once seen never forgotten. There will be free time in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The 4 star Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel is a beautiful, historic country house with extensive leisure facilities set in 12 acres of gardens and grounds. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves locally produced food. There is no lift.
We journey to Glasgow with opportunity to visit the museums at Kelvingrove (including the new Riverside Transport and Travel Museum) or enjoy shopping in George Square. We continue to Dunfermline for 2 nights half board accommodation at the Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel.
We spend time in Edinburgh City Centre before returning to the hotel for an early dinner, before we transfer to Edinburgh Castle for the 9.00 pm performance of the Tattoo.
After breakfast we head south and take a break in Moffat. We continue our journey arriving home early evening.
