Always a favourite with Bibby's customers, we return to The Lion Hotel on the green at Criccieth, North Wales for a themed stay that will take you on a trip down memory lane. Enjoy this bargain break with good company, good food and good old-fashioned fun.
The 3 star Lion Hotel is situated on the village green commanding magnificent views of Cardigan Bay. It has been developed and extended offering friendly and comfortable hospitality. There is a lounge and cocktail bar and the Llewelyn restaurant serves delicious, mouth-watering meals. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. There is a lift. Some rooms are situated behind the hotel in the Castle View Cottages.
We travel to Port Sunlight, a unique and beautiful 19th century garden village created solely for the Sunlight Soap factory workers. We include entry to the Museum before continuing to Criccieth for 3 nights half board accommodation at The Lion Hotel. A warm welcome awaits and an old penny to spend on a drink before dinner at 7.00pm. Our entertainment, 'Time to Remember' with the talented Mandy Stevens.
We begin today with a visit to the Isle of Anglesey and Llanfair PG. Later we spend time in Llandudno, where we can visit 'The Home Front' or the Llandudno Museum. After dinner enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane, the 1960's film 'The Way we were', an age of Flower Power & Free Love!!
We visit Porthmadog for a ride on the Welsh Highland & Ffestiniog Railway, a general mode of transport in the 50's. On our return to Criccieth we have time to visit Cadwaladers for a delicious Ice Cream. Rock & Roll Night tonight with John Hammond.
Depart after breakfast returning via Chester. Arrive home late afternoon.
