Join us for an Easter weekend break exploring 'God's own County', as we take in some of Yorkshire's finest scenery and attractions. We enjoy a visit to York, including a sightseeing cruise, Sewerby Hall & Gardens and time in the Yorkshire coastal resort of Bridlington. We also include an Easter Sunday Lunch and a trip to the fascinating Trolleybus Museum.
The 4 star Hallmark Hotel Hull has a stunning view of the famous Humber Bridge on the shore of the Humber estuary. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, tea making facilities, hairdryer, iron, complimentary toiletries and Wi-Fi. There is no lift but ground floor rooms are available.
We travel to historic York where we include a sightseeing boat trip on the River Ouse, followed by free time to enjoy the many shops, cafes and attractions the city has to offer. We continue to the outskirts of Hull for 3 nights half board accommodation at the Hallmark Hotel, with tea/coffee and hot cross buns on arrival.
Today we head to the coast and the impressive 18th century Sewerby Hall, with its dramatic clifftop location and award-winning gardens, including the Marie Curie Daffodil Trail and Zoo, featuring birds and mammals from around the world. Later we spend some time in nearby Bridlington, with its superb sandy beaches and traditional promenade.
This morning we visit the town of Beverley before returning to our hotel for an included Easter Sunday Lunch. Later we head into Hull for free time to explore the city with its interesting history and fascinating museums, such as the Streetlife Museum of Transport, Hull Maritime Museum and The Deep aquarium.
We depart after breakfast and travel via the magnificent Humber Bridge to the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, where you can take a ride on the vintage trams and explore the range of heritage vehicles. We continue our journey home, arriving into our local area late afternoon.
