We are pleased to present this tour to experience the beauty of the Cambrian Mountains once known as 'Green Desert of Wales'. We include visits to Ludlow, The Abbey at Cwm-Hir, the Brecon Beacons, Aberystwyth and a train ride through the Rheidol Valley. Our base is the Spa Town of Llandrindod Wells, ideal for our diverse selection of excursions.
The 4 star Metropole Hotel is located in the town centre ideal for an evening stroll. All the en suite bedrooms have TV, telephone and tea making facilities. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam room and a fully equipped gym. There is a lift.
We journey to Ludlow, one of the most attractive towns in England. Later we transfer to Llandrindod Wells for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Metropole Hotel.
Morning free to explore the Spa resort of Llandrindod Wells. In the afternoon we visit The Hall at Abbey Cwm-Hir. This ancient hall has 52 rooms with an amazing collection of antiques and memorabilia and stands in the grounds of an historic Cistercian abbey.
A circular tour, a coffee break in Llandovery before a meandering route through the Black Mountains to Ystradgynlais. We continue through the Brecon Beacons National Park to Brecon, where we take a lunch break. Our return route takes us via Buith Wells.
We journey to the coast and university town of Aberystwyth with free time to explore. Later we join the Vale of Rheidol Railway for a journey through some of Wales`s spectacular scenery. We rejoin our coach at Devils Bridge.
Depart for home with a stop in the market town of Welshpool. We continue our journey arriving late afternoon/early evening.
