Come with us on this short break into South Wales, where we enjoy the culture of Cardiff. We visit the Royal Mint Visitor Centre, the Rhondda Museum of Welsh Mining, St Fagan's Natural History Museum or spend time exploring Cardiff city centre. Our accommodation is the Cardiff North Holiday Inn Hotel, located just 15 minutes from the city centre.
The 4 star Cardiff North Holiday Inn is modern, airy and located a short drive from Cardiff city centre. It has a spacious restaurant, lobby bar and leisure centre with indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, iron & ironing board and Wi-Fi. There is a lift.
We travel via the Malvern Hills and Ledbury, to Cardiff for 3 nights half board accommodation at the Cardiff North Holiday Inn Hotel.
Today we visit the Rhondda Heritage Park where former miners will guide us around the Museum of Welsh Mining, bringing to life the story of 'Black Gold'. In the afternoon we visit the Royal Mint Visitor Centre, where we see the manufacturing journey from concept to coin.
Today you can choose a free day to explore all that Cardiff has to offer or stay on our coach and enjoy a visit to St Fagan's Natural History Museum, a fantastic 100 acre park filled with rescued, restored and authentically furnished buildings from all over Wales, illustrating the social history of Wales and its people (free entry).
We depart for home, calling at Spetchley Park Gardens a beautiful historic garden, deer park and lakes set in the wonderful Worcestershire countryside. We arrive into our local area late afternoon.
