We are pleased to present this tour to experience the beauty of the Cambrian Mountains. We include visits to Ludlow, The Abbey at Cwm-Hir, the Brecon Beacons, Aberystwyth and a train ride through the Rheidol Valley. Our base is the Spa Town of Llandrindod Wells, ideal for our diverse selection of excursions.
The 4 star Metroploe Hotel is located in the town centre ideal for an evening stroll. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, trouser press, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam room and a fully equipped gym. There is a lift.
We journey to Ludlow, one of the most attractive towns in England. Later we transfer to Llandrindod Wells for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Metropole Hotel.
Morning free to explore the Spa resort of Llandrindod Wells. In the afternoon we visit The Hall at Abbey Cwm-Hir. This ancient hall has 52 rooms with an amazing collection of antiques and memorabilia and stands in the grounds of an historic Cistercian Abbey.
We journey to the coast and university town of Aberystwyth with free time to explore. Later we join the Vale of Rheidol Railway for a journey through some spectacular Welsh scenery. We rejoin our coach at Devils Bridge.
A circular tour, a coffee break in Llandovery before a meandering route through the Black Mountains to Ystradgynlais. We continue through the Brecon Beacons National Park to Brecon, where we take a lunch break. You will have time to explore this pretty cathedral city with its independent shops, museums and castle.
Depart for home with a stop in the attractive market town of Oswestry. We continue our journey arriving late afternoon/early evening.
