We are delighted to present this new tour for 2019 based in the historic town of Beaumaris on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey. Our featured excursions offer an insight into the history and traditions of Anglesey once the home of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The 3 star Bulkeley Hotel is a grade 1 listed building and a very fine example of the Victorian house-builders art. As befits all Victorian buildings the comfortable bedrooms are all shapes and sizes with no two being the same. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. There is a lift.
Departing our local area we travel to Liverpool for some free time in this amazing city. Mid afternoon we continue our journey into North Wales and to the town of Beaumaris where we check in for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Bulkeley Hotel.
The Conwy Valley Railway Museum is our first visit this morning, a must for all railway enthusiasts. Take a trip on the miniature railway around the beautifully landscaped grounds. We continue to Llandudno, returning to Beaumaris mid-afternoon.
We begin with a visit to Halen Mon (The Anglesey Sea Salt Company). We enjoy a behind the scenes tour where we learn of salt's place in our history, culture and food. Later we visit Tacla Taid - the Anglesey Transport Museum for a trip down memory lane. We return via Llanfair PG.
Enjoy a free morning in Beaumaris, take a stroll along the seafront, taking in the pier and the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, or visit the castle, a United Nations World Heritage site. In the afternoon we include an interesting visit to Llynon Mill. Built in 1775, it is the only working windmill in Wales.
We depart for home taking a break in Chester, arriving late afternoon.
