Edinburgh is a popular spring break destination with plenty of activities to tempt the visitor. We also visit Ocean Terminal, a superb shopping Centre with over 70 stores all under one roof in a stunning waterfront location, where the magnificent Royal Yacht Britannia is berthed. Before travelling home, we transfer to the lively and cosmopolitan city of Glasgow for more shopping or visit one of the excellent free museums. A great weekend...
The 3 star Mercure Princes Street Hotel is located in an ideal position on Princes Street. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, tea making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press and Wi-Fi. We depart early morning, travelling direct to Edinburgh where we check in at the Mercure Princes Street Hotel for 2 nights bed and breakfast accommodation. You are then free to explore the attractions and fine shops of the capital. Your driver will offer a transfer to the Ocean Terminal at Leith, a superb shopping centre and home to the Royal Yacht Britannia.
Today is a free day to explore. With streets steeped in history and a thriving cultural scene, the city of Edinburgh offers the perfect balance between all things traditional and contemporary.
After breakfast we travel to Glasgow, a lively and cosmopolitan destination with the largest and best retail centre in the UK outside of London. The vibrant shopping district in the heart of the city is focused around 3 pedestrianised areas, including the amazing Buchanan Galleries. The city has been reborn as a centre of style and vitality, set against the backdrop of outstanding Victorian architecture. We depart at 3.00pm, arriving home early evening.
