The Suffolk villages have been famously brought to life by the Gainsborough and Constable landscapes. On our Constable Country day we have a local guide who will bring this region to life. We include a visit to the HMS Ganges Museum and a day on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
The 3 star Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel is located in the Suffolk countryside. Hotel facilities include an 18-hole golf course, health and leisure club with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, fitness studio and beauty salon. We travel to Cambridge, before continuing to Woodbridge near Ipswich for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Ufford Park Hotel.
We visit the Suffolk Heritage Coast and the resorts of Aldeburgh and Southwold.
A guided tour of Constable Country and the famous Suffolk Wool Towns, including the villages of Lavenham, Dedham and Flatford Mill.
A visit to the HMS Ganges Museum at Shotley Gate, dedicated to the 160,000 boys who went through the gates as boys and marched out as men, from its inception as a Royal Navy Training Establishment in 1905 to its closure in 1976. Later we visit Woodbridge or an optional visit to Sutton Hoo, the site of two 6th and early 7th century cemeteries.
We travel to the market town of Stamford. Arrive home late afternoon.
