Join us as we enjoy a themed break to Ireland’s East Coast, which brings you an exciting look at Ireland’s seaside, city and countryside. We enjoy a day exploring County Wicklow with a visit to Powerscourt House & Gardens, relax in the Irish capital of Dublin, with a boat cruise and take a journey on Ireland’s oldest railway.

The 3 star Esplanade Hotel is an elegant Victorian building located on the seafront, at the foot of Bray Head, offering fantastic sea views and old world charm. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, TV, Wi-Fi, tea making facilities, hairdryer and telephone. There is a lift.
We travel via the North Wales coast to board the early afternoon Irish Ferries from Holyhead to Dublin. We disembark and travel to the seaside town of Bray for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Esplanade Hotel. There will be a welcome drink on arrival.
Today we visit Powerscourt House & Gardens, considered one of the world’s greatest gardens with international collections, ornate statuary, inspired designs and magnificent views of Sugerloaf Mountain.
The Irish capital of Dublin is our destination today where we begin with a cruise on the famous River Liffey. The 1 hour cruise will take you through the heart of the capital with an interesting commentary highlighting the major landmarks, including Ha-penny Bridge and Customs House. We are once again joined by a local guide for a city tour, with the afternoon free at leisure to discover Dublin’s many galleries, museums, shops and cafes.
We switch our mode of transport this morning as we journey on one of Ireland’s oldest railways, following the coast from Bray to Dublin. Accompanied by a local tour guide you will enjoy a panorama of city, coast and countryside as the DART train carries you to the seaside resort of Malahide, where tea and scones will be served. After some free time our coach will be waiting to make the return journey back to Bray.
After a 'grab & go' breakfast we travel the short distance to Dun Laoghaire and board the 08:00hrs conventional ferry crossing to Holyhead. Breakfast will be included on board. Arrive home late afternoon.
