Always a popular tour our new itinerary includes visits to the Hub Heritage Museum, Wallington Hall, Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland Archives, the award winning Alnwick Gardens, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the city of Durham.
The 4 star Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel is set in 12 acres of parkland. There is a health and leisure club with swimming pool and gym. All the spacious and beautifully renovated bedrooms are en suite with TV, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, tea making facilities, safe and iron & ironing board. There is a lift.
We travel via Hartside Pass for an included visit to the Hub Heritage Museum. We continue to Hexham and then the outskirts of Newcastle for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel.
We transfer to Alnwick with free time before entry to Alnwick Gardens. Its landscape has amazing fountains, plants from all over the world and plenty of areas to relax.
We visit Woodhorn Museum and Northumberland Archives, an entertaining and interactive museum. Later we visit Rothbury and continue to Wallington Hall for an included visit.
We travel to The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, with time to explore the ancient castle and priory. Early afternoon we travel down the coast to Bamburgh, returning via Seahouses.
We visit the City of Durham before travelling home arriving into the local area late afternoon.
