We travel into the counties of Cheshire and Derbyshire to enjoy the scenic splendour of the peaks and plains, villages and towns of the regions. We have included visits to Manchester Cathedral, Chatsworth House, Chester and Liverpool and a full day guided visit of the Derbyshire Dales, with an included buffet lunch!
The 4 star Shrigley Hall Hotel is set in 262 acres of delightful countryside with views over the Cheshire Plains towards the Welsh Hills. We travel to Oswaldtwistle Mills, we continue to Manchester and include a guided tour of the magnificent Cathedral. Free time before we continue to Shrigley Hall Hotel for 4 nights half board accommodation.
We begin with a coffee stop in the lovely village of Castleton. We then visit Chatsworth House and Gardens.
We have a full day in Chester, one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain. We have time to explore this ancient city with Roman connections and the opportunity to enjoy some retail therapy!
We visit Buxton, a popular tourist destination in the Peak District. A local guide will give us some interesting facts as we travel down the Dove Valley to Tissington. Here the local W.I will provide us with a buffet lunch. Later we visit the World Heritage Site of Cromford, returning via Matlock Bath.
We make our way to the Albert Dock in Liverpool with its wealth of free attractions. We depart late-afternoon and arrive back into the local area early evening.
