This short break combines two highlights of Yorkshire and Derbyshire. We visit the Victorian splendor of Brodsworth Hall, with an afternoon brass band performance on the lawns, and complete our break at Chatsworth House, one of the UK’s finest stately homes.
The 4 star Q Hotels Tankersley Manor is built around a 17th century former residence with many of the original features being retained. There is a restaurant, lounge and bar. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, trouser press or iron and Wi-Fi. There is a health club with indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and spa treatments. There is no lift but a small number of ground floor rooms are available.
After an early departure we travel to Brodsworth Hall where you can explore the striking Italianate style hall or wander through the formal gardens, statue walk and fern dell. In the afternoon enjoy the brass band concert on the lawns before we transfer to Q Hotels Tankersley Manor for overnight half board accommodation.
We travel to Chatsworth House, home to the Dukes of Devonshire, and set on the banks of the River Derwent amid the landscape of 'Capability Brown'. Take in the magnificent house or explore the gardens with its impressive water cascade and fountains. We depart late afternoon arriving home early evening.
