The unspoilt Western Isles of Scotland have a unique distinct appeal. The islands are like a cluster of jewels strung together; although each island in the chain is different, they share splendid scenery, remarkable wildlife and a proud history. We visit the mainly Gaelic speaking Island of Barra, which is small and romantic. Barra's past brings you Norse legend, fierce fighting and Celtic mystery, while the present holds all the promise of a wonderful break with beautiful beaches, soaring hills, deserted roads and the warmest of welcomes. We also visit Lewis the most North Westerly tip of Britain; it has some great historical monuments such as the standing stones of Callanish. A popular touring holiday not to be missed...
