The 3 star Duke of Gordon Hotel is a privately-owned hotel in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and the Cairngorm National Park. The hotel offers traditional character and heritage of an old Scottish coaching inn. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, tea making facilities, trouser press and Wi-Fi. A full day tour of Monarch of the Glen Country via Glen Spean and Fort William, a beautiful town on the shores of Loch Linnhe.
Today's excursion is a circular tour travelling to Grantown-on-Spey where we visit the Speyside Cooperage to see skilled craftsmen fashioning whisky barrels. We continue to the picturesque seaside town of Nairn before returning to the hotel.
Heading north today we travel via the Moray Firth and onto the Black Isle peninsula to Cromarty, distinguished by its Georgian merchant houses and quaint fishermen's cottages. We return via the city of Inverness.
We depart for home, arriving early evening.
