We return to Somerset and the traditional coastal resort of Clevedon. Our accommodation is the Best Western Walton Park Hotel, boasting a cliff-side location overlooking the Bristol Channel towards the Welsh Hills. Excursions include Bristol and the SS Great Britain, a rail journey through Exmoor and a visit to the cathedral city of Wells.
The 3 star Best Western Walton Park Hotel is a splendid traditional hotel occupying a stunning cliff top location. There is a restaurant and lounge bar. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. There is a lift.
We travel via the main roads and motorways for a break in Worcester before continuing to Clevedon for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Best Western Walton Park Hotel.
Today we head south to the edge of Exmoor and join the West Somerset Railway, travelling from Bishops Lydeard to Dunster. We enjoy free time in Dunster before we re-join our coach and continue to Minehead for an afternoon by the sea.
We travel into the Mendips via the Cheddar Gorge to Wells, where today is market day. We return to Clevedon for a free afternoon in our home resort.
We visit Bristol, via Brunel's Clifton Suspension bridge, spending time at the historic dockyard museum and SS Great Britain, where you can explore the world’s first luxury liner. Later we return to Weston for some free time.
We travel home via the main roads and motorways, arriving into our local area early evening.
