During your holiday you will experience some of Ireland’s hidden gems as we visit Waterford, home to the famous crystal, Kilkenny and its mediaeval Castle, the town of New Ross where we include entry to the fascinating Dunbrody Famine Ship and a journey through the impressive Wicklow Mountains. Our base is Treacy's Hotel in the lively riverside town of Enniscorthy where you are sure to sample the famous Irish 'Craic'.

The 3 star Treacy's Hotel Ennniscorthy enjoys a central, riverside location. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, safe and Wi-Fi. There are two restaurants and a bar, with entertainment most evenings. Guests may use the facilities of the Waterfront Leisure Centre which includes an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym. The 4 star Treacy's Hotel Carrickmacross is a modern hotel set in pretty gardens in a rural location. The Torc restaurant serves locally sourced meals and Johnnies Bar is ideal for unwinding with a drink. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. We make an early start and travel via the Galloway coast to Loch Ryan to board the afternoon Stena Line ferry to Belfast. We disembark and travel south past Dublin to Treacy’s Hotel in Enniscorthy for 4 nights half board accommodation.
Today we head to the city of Waterford, made famous by the towns crystal glass production. We then continue to the seaside resort of Tramore before driving along the 'Copper Coast', so called because of the extensive copper mining during the 19th century, to Dunabrattin Head with its panoramic sea views.
This morning we visit the town of Kilkenny, Ireland’s medieval capital. We include a visit to the impressive Kilkenny Castle which has occupied a commanding position overlooking the town and the River Nore for over eight hundred years. Later enjoy some free time to explore the town itself, steeped in heritage, culture and home to artisans producing pottery, leather goods, knitwear and jewellry.
We travel along the coast to the town of New Ross where we include a visit to the fascinating Dunbrody Famine Ship, centred on an authentic reproduction of an 1840’s emigrant vessel, it provides a world-class interpretation of the famine emigrant experience. Later we return to Enniscorthy for a free afternoon to explore the picturesque town set on the banks of the River Slaney.
We depart Enniscorthy and travel via the Wicklow Mountains National Park to County Monaghan for overnight half board accommodation at the Treacy's Hotel near Carrickmacross.
This morning we transfer to Belfast port to join the late morning sailing to Loch Ryan. We disembark early afternoon and travel south via the main roads and motorways, arriving into our local area early evening.
