The Ayrshire Coast boasts one of the finest panoramic coastlines in the British Isles enhanced at this time of year by the stunning Autumn colours. Our base is Troon where we enjoy 4 nights of Scottish hospitality at the South Beach Hotel. Interesting visits to Culzean Castle, the Isle of Bute with a visit to Mount Stuart House & Gardens and a day of Lochs and Glens Autumn scenery.
The 3 star South Beach Hotel Troon is privately owned and family run and is well known for its welcoming atmosphere. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, radio, tea making facilities, hairdryer and many have outstanding sea views. Wi-Fi is available in public areas of the hotel. There is no lift, but some ground floor bedrooms are available.
We journey to Dumfries then via Loch Ken to the Burns Centre where we enjoy a break before continuing to Ayr. Later we travel to Troon for 4 nights half board accommodation at the South Beach Hotel.
We travel to Culzean Castle, a romantic 18th century castle with superb panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde. We return to Troon mid-afternoon for some free time.
A scenic coastal day we travel to Largs and to Dunoon via local ferry. We continue our tour of 6 spectacular lochs, including Loch Fyne before boarding the return ferry to Largs.
We drive to Wemyss Bay then cruise to the beautiful Isle of Bute 'The Jewel of the Clyde'. We include entry to Mount Stuart House & Gardens an outstanding and flamboyant Victorian, Gothic style mansion with beautiful gardens within a 300-acre estate.
We travel to Girvan, Newton Stewart and the Galloway Coast with a stop in Kirkcubright. Arrive home early evening.
