Looe, one of Cornwall's prettiest and most interesting resorts, with its ancient traditions based on the fishing industry and harbour. The twin towns - East Looe & West Looe are connected by the seven arch bridge where the Looe Rivers meet, flowing through the town & harbour where the fishing boats land their catch. We are based in the superbly located Portbyhan Hotel, which offers stunning panoramic views across the bay and the unspoilt Cornish Coast.
The 3 star The Portbyhan Hotel is situated on the quayside of West Looe overlooking the river, offering stunning views from its unrivalled position. Facilities include the restaurant and a bar area with regular entertainment. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. There is a lift.
We journey via the main roads and motorways to Looe for 4 nights half board accommodation at The Portbyhan Hotel.
A free day to enjoy the delights of Looe from our hotel, which could not be better situated. Relax with a Cornish cream tea as you watch the many boats passing to and fro and take a leisurely stroll along the attractive harbour side.
A full day to discover some of Cornwall's prettiest fishing villages. We include the resort of Mevagissey and return via the picturesque harbour village of Charlestown, here we include entry to the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre.
Today we visit the Eden Project, a global garden, a place of beauty and wonder which explores humankind's dependence on natural resources. The humid Tropics Biome, the world's largest greenhouse, is home to the plants of the rainforest. A fascinating day out!
