An ideal base for exploring Somerset, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills our short break features the West Somerset Railway, England’s longest steam line. The 3 star Yarn Market Hotel is an independent family-run hotel that prides itself on friendly service, situated in the medieval village of Dunster within the Exmoor National Park. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities and Wi-Fi. There is a lift to some bedrooms.
We journey via the main roads and motorways to Dunster for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Yarn Market Hotel.
A coastal day as we visit the quaint resorts of Lynton & Lynmouth.
Today we drive through the heart of the Exmoor National Park, we visit Arlington Court, a Regency house set in an extensive estate and home to a large collection of horse-drawn vehicles. In the afternoon we visit the harbour town of Ilfracombe.
We take a short hop to Minehead where we board the mid-morning steam train for a relaxing, scenic journey through the Quantock Hills to Bishops Lydeard. We re-join our coach and continue to Tiverton for free time, returning to Dunster and Minehead mid-afternoon.
We journey home arriving into our local area early evening.
