The 4 star Mercure Stratford Upon Avon Shakespeare is a traditional hotel in a Tudor style building located in the town. There is a restaurant and bar. All bedrooms are en suite with TV and radio, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press, safe and Wi-Fi. There is a lift.
We travel to Staffordshire and visit the National Memorial Arboretum (free entry), the UK's Centre of Remembrance. Later we continue to Stratford-upon-Avon for 3 nights half board accommodation at the Mercure Stratford upon Avon Shakespeare Hotel.
A morning guided tour which includes visits to Mary Arden's farm and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage. We return to Stratford for a free afternoon.
Today our guide joins us once again, for a full day tour of the beautiful Cotswolds. We pass orchards full of autumn colour and thatched cottages of honey coloured stone as we visit the villages of Pershore and Broadway, stopping in Evesham, another Cotswolds gem.
We return via Dunnington Heath Farm shop and tea rooms and Bridgemere Garden World. Arrive home late afternoon.
