Depart for Peebles

We travel via the main roads and motorways before checking in for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Tontine Hotel, Peebles.

Tuesday

Great Tapestry of Scotland & Melrose

This morning we take a short drive to Galashiels, the heart of the Scottish textile industry, and visit the Great Tapestry of Scotland. Created by 1,000 stitchers, this masterpiece depicts the history, people, and landscape of Scotland in a purpose-built visitor centre. Later we travel via Scotts View to spend time in the pretty town of Melrose.

Guided Tour of Edinburgh & Free Time

Today we head to Edinburgh and are joined by a guide for a coach tour around this magnificent city. Later enjoy free time to explore the culture, history, and first-class shopping at your leisure.

Dawyck Botanic Garden & Melrose

This morning we visit Dawyck Botanic Garden, home to one of Scotland's finest tree collections and to an abundance of plant treasures from Nepal, Chile, China and more. Autumn is a glorious season at Dawyck as the garden is bathed in a rich tapestry of reds, golds and rich browns. Later we return to Peebles for free time.

Return Home

We travel home via St Mary’s Loch and the stunning scenery of the Borders region, arriving into our local area early evening.
