We travel north through beautiful scenery to Barnard Castle where we will drop off in the town centre so you can explore the unique shops and cafes. (2½ hr stay). We continue to Thornton Hall Gardens, a Grade 1 listed house surrounded by a magnificent private garden which the current owners have spent more than 30 years transforming from unloved paddocks into a plantsman’s paradise.  Curvaceous borders snaking along the stone walls are home to a large collection of roses, clematis, delphiniums, peonies, hostas and heucheras and the ornamental pond, waterfall, statues and sculptures complete these magical gardens (2½ hr stay approx). *PLEASE NOTE: When parking at Preston Patrick Memorial Hall there is now a charge of £5 per car and parking is limited to 5 spaces. All cars must park at the rear of the hall nearest the canal. When the coach arrives to collect you our driver will hand you a ticket which must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle before you board the coach. Alternatively, you can park at our Ingleton Depot free of charge.
