Depart for Dumfries House then onto the Radstone Hotel

We travel north, calling at Dumfries House, an 18th century house and estate which was saved by the patronage of HM King Charles III. We include a 1 hr guided tour and refreshments. We continue to Larkhall for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Radstone Hotel.

Peebles & Galashiels,

Today we visit the pretty border towns of Peebles and Galashiels, situated at the heart of Scotland’s historic textile industry. We include entry to the Great Tapestry of Scotland, in Galashiels. One hundred and sixty breath-taking panels, created by 1,000 stitchers, bring to life the colourful history and culture of this vibrant nation all displayed in a magnificent purpose-built contemporary gallery and visitor’s centre.

South Queensferry & Edinburgh

We travel to the pretty village of South Queensferry with its magnificent views of the Forth bridges, before making our way into the cosmopolitan city of Edinburgh. Explore all that the capital city has to offer - the impressive Castle, the bustling Royal Mile, the Palace of Holyrood House and not forgetting fantastic shopping, restaurants, art galleries and museums.

This morning we head to Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow. With its stunning architecture, impressive Cathedral, fascinating museums and fantastic shopping areas on Buchannan and Sauchiehall Streets, there is plenty to discover.

Return home via New Lanark World Heritage site

We depart our hotel and call at New Lanark World Heritage site where you can explore the restored textile mill, village store, mill shop & café. Later we continue our return, arriving into our local area late afternoon.
