Depart for Gloucester & Bristol

We journey south to Gloucester, where we take a break. We continue towards Bristol for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Holiday Inn Bristol Filton.

Monday

Aerospace Bristol

We travel to Aerospace Bristol, which houses a varied collection of exhibits as well as Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the final Concorde to be built and the last to fly. You will be able to follow in the footsteps of world leaders, rock stars and royalty when you step onboard Concorde G-BOAF.

SS Great Britain & Free Time in Bristol

Today we explore the maritime heritage of Bristol and visit another of Brunel’s great engineering achievements, the SS Great Britain, one of the world’s most important historic ships. Later enjoy free time to take a boat trip on one of the many river cruisers that ply the River Avon, or our driver can drop you at Bristol’s shopping quarter in the city centre.

Bristol Botanic Garden & Clevedon

This morning we start with a visit to the University of Bristol Botanic Garden where you can explore the Evolution, Chinese and Medicinal gardens as well as following the sculpture trail. Later we continue to Clifton, where we stop to view Brunel`s magnificent suspension bridge, spanning the Avon Gorge. We then head to the unspoilt Victorian seaside town of Clevedon, with its elegant pier and magnificent views of the Severn estuary.

Return Home

We depart for home making suitable stops along the way, arriving into our local area early evening.
