Our Autumn sunshine tour sees us return to the delightful Spanish resort of Tossa de Mar with accommodation in the popular Golden Bahia de Tossa Hotel. The Costa Brava has retained much of its original charm and this beautiful region is well worth a visit. Tossa de Mar is a delightful resort nestled in a bay with a lovely sandy beach and an historic old town. You will have plenty of free time in resort to relax and take advantage of the hotel facilities, enjoy some magnificent coastal and mountain scenery with an excursion to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat and visit the ancient city of Girona. We also include a special visit to the Mas Oller Winery with a guided tour and tasting.

Your Holiday Accommodation:
The **** NOVOTEL DIJON SUD lies on the outskirts of the town, 5.5km from Dijon Cathedral. It is a modern spacious hotel, all bedrooms are en suite with TV, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, mini-bar, and tea making facilities. There is a restaurant, open plan bar, plus a terrace and outdoor pool. There is no lift but there are ground floor rooms.
The **** GOLDEN BAHIA DE TOSSA is in the medieval town of Tossa de Mar, where a leisurely stroll will take you to the picturesque Old Town walls and the idyllic stretch of sandy beach. All bedrooms are en suite with air conditioning, TV, telephone, hairdryer, safe, fridge, balcony/terrace, and Wi-Fi. You can enjoy the finest Mediterranean and international cuisine in the spacious restaurant and there are three bars serving drinks, cocktails and snacks. There are three outdoor swimming pools, a gym and a spa with indoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and beauty treatments. No ground floor rooms but there is a lift.

We journey through France making suitable refreshment breaks en route to our overnight hotel where bed and buffet breakfast accommodation has been arranged at the Novotel Dijon Sud.

Travel via Rhone Valley to Tossa de Mar
We continue our journey following the Rhone Valley South. With the Pyrenees in sight, we cross the border into Spain and then continue to our hotel in Tossa de Mar where accommodation has been arranged for 6 nights in the Golden Bahia de Tossa Hotel.

EXCURSIONS
- A free day to relax and enjoy the facilities in your hotel and home resort.
- An excursion to the medieval town of Palafrugell with its many narrow streets, large square with bars, restaurants, and boutiques. In the afternoon we call into the beautiful coastal town of Calella de Palafrugell, a lovely seaside spot, with an old-fashioned charm.
- A memorable visit today as we take an excursion to Montserrat, a spectacularly beautiful Benedictine monk mountain retreat, a place of significant religious importance. The natural beauty surrounding the monastery is breathtaking.
- Join us on an excursion to the medieval city of Girona, Northern Catalonia’s largest city, packed with museums, galleries, and Gothic churches, strung around a tangle of cobbled lanes and medieval walls.
- Rustic Spain today as we begin with a visit to the small medieval village of Monells, described as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Later we visit Peratallada known for its beautiful old stone buildings, rutted stone streets and passageways. In the afternoon we make a special visit to the Mas Oller winery where we enjoy a guided tour, tasting and nibbles.
