Located in the north west corner of County Galway this area of desolate beauty has incredible scenery and some interesting attractions, which combine to make Connemara a beautiful place. We return to the luxurious Clifden Station House Hotel, built on the site of the original Clifden railway station. WestportA scenic coastal and mountain day as we travel via Lough Fee, Leenanne and onto the picturesque town of Westport where you have free time to explore. We return via Louisburgh and the mountainous landscape of the Doolough Valley.

Alcock and Brown Memorial & free time in ClifdenMorning coastal tour including the Alcock and Brown Memorial. We continue via the coast of Connemara and the harbour village of Roundstone. We return to Clifden for a free afternoon.

Aran IslandsThis morning we visit the magnificent Aran Islands. We take a 40-minute crossing on the ferry from the village of Ros a’ Mhil, arriving into the harbour of Kilronan from where we embark on a minibus tour with a local guide. The highlight of our tour is Dun Aengus, a 2000-year-old fort perched on the edge of a 60m cliff top (this is a strenuous, but worthwhile walk). Please note that sturdy footwear is recommended, as the path to the fort is quite steep and partly follows some uneven ground.
