Our accommodation is based in Dunfermline, a town 20 miles north of Edinburgh. We enjoy free time to enjoy the cultural city of Edinburgh.  With an abundance of history, top quality attractions and beautiful architecture, Edinburgh is a city that you won’t forget in a hurry. Explore the Medieval Old Town and the elegant Georgian New Town, which sit side by side, and visit unique attractions throughout the city.

Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel, Dunfermline    

The 4 star Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel is a beautiful, historic country house with extensive leisure facilities set in 12 acres of gardens and grounds. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and Wi-Fi. The restaurant serves locally produced food. There is no lift.

Edinburgh is Scotland's compact, hilly capital. It has a medieval Old Town and elegant Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical buildings. Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, used in the coronation of Scottish rulers.

Travel to Edingburgh and onto Dunfermline

We travel direct to Edinburgh where the day will be free to explore the Scottish Capital. We continue to Dunfermline for 2 nights half board accommodation at the Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel.

Travel home via the Helix

After breakfast we visit the Helix, home to the Kelpies, the world's largest equine sculptures. We continue south arriving home late afternoon.
