A new itinerary for our Dumfries & Galloway tour featuring a fascinating visit to Kitchen Coos & Ewes, where we enjoy a behind the scenes tour of High Airyolland Farm. Our accommodation is the Northwest Castle Hotel, an excellent base for exploring the beautiful area of South West Dumfries and Galloway.

Depart for Threave Garden then onto Stranraer
Morning departure via Gretna Green and onwards to Threave Garden. The garden is divided into a series of smaller gardens to highlight distinctive styles, including a rose garden, rockery, and walled garden. We continue to Stranraer for 4 nights half board accommodation at the North West Castle Hotel.Tuesday

Isle of Whithorn, Garlieston & Wigtown
An interesting day today, enjoying coastal views as we travel to the Isle of Whithorn, one of the most southerly villages and seaports in Scotland. We continue to the fascinating village of Garlieston where during World War II, the harbour and close by Rigg Bay were selected as the trial site for the D-Day Mulberry Harbours. We continue to Wigtown for a lunch break before including a visit to Bladnoch Distillery. Here, we discover how Bladnoch and Pure Scot Whiskies are crafted and include a tasting.Wednesday

Culzean Castle
We head north, travelling along the eastern shore of Loch Ryan to Culzean Castle, a beautiful castle in tremendous grounds with stunning views. We return via the Electric Brae, a gravity defying stretch of road that is an optical illusion.Thursday

Logan Botanic Garden & Kitchen Coos & Ewes at Airyolland Farm
Logan Botanic Garden is our first destination today, Scotland’s most exotic garden, where you can discover plant treasures rarely seen in the UK. Early afternoon we make our way to Kitchen Coos & Ewes at Airyolland Farm for an exclusive tour where you can see Highland cows and Beltex sheep in their natural farm environment. We complete the afternoon with a delicious cream tea in the farmhouse kitchen.Friday
