Saffron Walden & Kentwell Hall
Today begins in picturesque Saffron Walden, with its heritage reflecting the wealth of this medieval, market town across the ages. From here, we travel to Kentwell Hall, a timeless manor house which is still a family home! Set in acres of stunning parkland and fabulous gardens, which have evolved over five centuries.

Guided Tour of Essex Coast, Maldon & Green Island Gardens
This morning we are joined by a guide for a half day tour of the Essex coast and Blackwater Estuary. Hear tales of smugglers navigating the many inlets and shifting sands, under the cover of darkness, before we enjoy a stop in the ancient town of Maldon. This afternoon, we venture to award winning Green Island Gardens. The 20 acres of private gardens were designed by its owner Fiona Edmond and display a huge range of unusual trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs.

Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh & Thorpeness
First stop today is Sutton Hoo, this beautiful 270 acre estate is home to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Explore the Royal Burial Ground, enjoy vistas from the viewing tower and discover all about the archaeological work at Tranmer House. Later we take a scenic drive along the Suffolk coast stopping in some of its charming seaside villages such as Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.
