The *** CHANNEL VIEW HOTEL has an elevated cliff top position overlooking Shanklin Bay. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, and Wi-Fi. Entertainment several times a week. There is a lift although some rooms have a few steps to them including the hotel entrance, restaurant, and entertainment room.

We travel to Southampton for the ferry crossing to East Cowes. We continue to Shanklin for 5 nights half board accommodation at the Channel View Hotel.

Cowes & Osbourne House

We visit West Cowes, famous for the World’s oldest regular regatta ‘Cowes Week.’ We continue to Osborne House, the one-time holiday home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, we explore the interiors and gardens.

Wednesday

Island Tour & Ventnor Botanic Gardens

An Island Tour including Ventnor Botanic Gardens (1hr stay), Alum Bay, the Needles and Yarmouth, returning via Newport.

Thursday

Isle of Wight Steam Railway, Ryde & Bembridge

We transfer to Havenstreet for a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway through to Smallbrook Junction then returning to Havenstreet for free time before a visit to Ryde and Bembridge.

Depart for home

We retrace our journey to Southampton, travelling home arriving early evening.
