Depart for Leyland & Derby

We travel south and start our trip with a visit to the British Commercial Vehicle Museum at Leyland. Located on the site of the original 1930’s site of Leyland Motors, this fascinating collection, including a vintage Bibby’s wagon, charts the history, heritage and technological advances of commercial vehicles and the modern road system. Later we continue to the Derby Mickleover Hotel, BW Signature Collection for 1 night half board accommodation.

JCB Factory Tour & Return Home

The highlight of our trip this morning as we head to the JCB factory near Uttoxeter for our guided tour. We venture behind the scenes of this world-famous company, and you can expect little known facts, exciting insights, and an opportunity to get up close to the JCB manufacturing process. Afterwards we enjoy a delicious, included lunch before our return journey, arriving home late afternoon. Please ensure you wear suitable footwear for the tour, no heels or open toe footwear allowed.
