Depart for RAF Cosford & Great Malvern

We call at High Legh Garden Centre for refreshment before continuing to the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford (free entry), a museum dedicated to the history of aviation. We later continue to Great Malvern for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Abbey Hotel.

Upton upon Severn & Croome Court

We take a short drive to the attractive town of Upton upon Severn, with its character buildings, medieval ‘Pepperpot’ church and foot bridge over the River Severn. Later we visit Croome Court, former home to the Earls of Coventry set in ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped parkland. As well as impressive art and ceramic collections, Croome was home to a secret RAF base during World War II and the Visitors Centre gives a fascinating glimpse of these secrets.

Today offers a choice: immerse yourself in the nostalgic charm of the Welland Steam Rally, featuring over 90 working steam engines, vintage and classic motor vehicles, models, crafts, and more (entry not included), or enjoy a leisurely free day exploring the delights of Malvern.

Ledbury & Westons Cider

We begin the day at a relaxed pace, making our way to the charming market town of Ledbury, renowned for its picturesque streets lined with Tudor-style timber-framed buildings. In the afternoon, we head to Westons Cider for a guided tour and tasting experience. Here, we explore over 140 years of cider-making heritage and discover the traditional techniques that are still used today.

Severn Valley Railway Journey & Return Home

We drive to Kidderminster for a single train journey on the Severn Valley Railway travelling 16 miles (70 mins) through the breath-taking scenery of the Severn Valley. We return to our coach at Bridgnorth and continue our journey home, arriving late afternoon.
