Depart for Derwent Manor Hotel, Allensford

We travel to Barnard Castle and visit the Bowes Museum, home to a spectacular collection of art and sculpture all housed in a breath-taking French style chateau. There will also be free time to explore the town. Later we continue to the Derwent Manor Hotel, Allensford for 3 nights half board accommodation.

Otterburn Mill & Alnwick

This morning we head to Otterburn Mill, a former heritage textile mill now retailing well known outdoor clothing and country wear brands. We continue via Rothley to historic Alnwick where you can explore the famous Barter Books and a whole host of independent shops and cafes. We return via the stunning Northumbrian coast.

Newcastle

The city of Newcastle is our destination today, where we will be joined by a local guide, who will take us on a fascinating tour of the city with the remainder of the day free for shopping and sightseeing.

Wednesday

Date : October 30, 2024

Return home via Hexham

We depart for historic Hexham, with its medieval Abbey and quirky independent stores, and take time to view Hadrian’s Wall, before we travel home arriving into our local area late afternoon.
