We make our way to medieval market town of Shrewsbury for an extended break before continuing to the Best Western Valley Hotel for 4 nights half board accommodation.

Hampton Gardens & Ludlow
This morning, we visit Hampton Gardens, where you can explore the award-winning gardens, set in the Herefordshire countryside, which include a maze, breath-taking sunken garden and beautiful woodland walks, all interspersed with views of the impressive castle. On our return we visit historic Ludlow with its half-timbered buildings and ruined castle.

Ironbridge Valley of Invention & Blists Hill
We take a short drive to the World Heritage site of Ironbridge Gorge this morning, where we explore the Ironbridge Valley of Invention. After time in the village, we continue to Blists Hill, a recreation of a Victorian town complete with chemist’s shop, grocers, sweet shop, and pub.

Severn Valley Railway & West Midlands Safari Park
Today we enjoy a steam train ride on the Severn Valley Railway, taking in the beautiful scenery from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster. In the afternoon we visit West Midlands Safari Park, enjoying a Safari Drive with a park guide.

Return Home via RHS Bridgewater
We depart our hotel and travel to RHS Garden Bridgewater. The task of restoring, regenerating, and replanting has been a labour of love for all involved. Their hard work, the vision of award-winning designers and the extraordinary heritage of the site has led to a truly inspired garden. Late afternoon we continue our journey home, arriving early evening.
