Join us for a wonderful break on the south Devon coast as we travel to Sidmouth, a lovely seaside town nestled beneath majestic red cliffs. The gateway to the Jurassic Coast, it is a charming, unspolit sanctuary from the excesses of modern day tourism, famed for its wealth of fine Regency architecture. Our accomodation is once again at the Kingswood Hotel, which boasts a superb location and a great reputation for its ambience, service and hospitality.

The *** KINGSWOOD HOTEL is located on the seafront close to the town centre. The beautiful lounges overlook the sea and enjoy stunning views. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities and Wi-Fi. As befits a building of this era the bedrooms have their own individual character varying in style and size. There is a lift to most bedrooms although many still have steps to climb.

Forde Abbey & Seaton
Today we head to Forde Abbey, a grade I listed building, privately owned former Cistercian Monastery. We enjoy a guided tour of the house before time to explore the gardens at leisure. Later we continue to the seaside town of Seaton. Set in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty, Seaton is the gateway town to the Jurassic Coast and overlooks Lyme Bay.Tuesday

Powderham Castle & Exeter
We visit Powderham Castle which lies in a beautiful deer park on the banks of the River Exe. Our guided tour of the castle will bring over 600 years of history to life plus there are beautiful gardens to discover. Later we continue to Exeter with free time to explore the city, with its cathedral, many museums and excellent shopping area.Wednesday

Bicton Park Botanical Gardens
This morning we take a short drive to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens where you will discover the Italianate formal gardens, magnificent palm house, fernery, and Mediterranean garden as well as a woodland miniature railway (additional cost).Friday
