Come to Cornwall with its golden sandy beaches, breath-taking views, quaint harbours, and picturesque villages. A popular tour, we return to the excellent Rosemundy House Hotel in St Agnes, situated on the rugged Atlantic Coast. Steeped in tin mining history, the village still retains a traditional friendly atmosphere. We visit Falmouth and enjoy a scenic cruise on the Fal River, visit Padstow and include the fascinating Eden Project and the stunning Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The *** ROSEMUNDY HOUSE HOTEL is a family run hotel set in secluded, sheltered gardens and woodlands, yet close to the main street in the village of St Agnes. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, and Wi-Fi. There is a bar and restaurant. There is an outdoor hot tub (May to September). There is no lift, but rooms are on the ground and first floor.

EXCURSIONS

 

  • We travel to the charming coastal town of Falmouth where you have free time to explore the town with a visit to the award-winning Maritime Museum recommended. Early afternoon we join Enterprise Cruises for a 2-hour cruise on the Fal River sailing through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, passing Tudor castles, deep sided wooded valleys, historic houses and an abundance of marine activity.
  • We begin with a visit to the pretty fishing village of Mevagissey before heading to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Neglected for over 40 years, the gardens have now been restored to their former glory and include enormous rhododendrons, camellias, a sub-tropical jungle, and Italianate gardens.
  • A full day visit to the award-winning Eden Project. The former clay mine has been transformed into the world’s largest indoor rainforest plus there is a Mediterranean biome and extensive outdoor gardens.
  • We visit Prideaux Place, an Elizabethan manor house and gardens still lived in by the family for whom it was built. Later we visit Padstow with its charming fishing harbour and quaint streets.
  • A free day in St Agnes.
