Travel to Ballyshannon

We travel via Loch Ryan to board the afternoon ferry to Belfast. We travel across country to Ballyshannon for 5 nights half board accommodation at the Dorrians Imperial Hotel, arriving late afternoon.

Lissadell House & Gardens

We take a spectacular drive along the coast to Lissadell House and Gardens, an imposing early 19th century house with magnificent views across Sligo Bay to the mountains beyond. Discover the exhibitions on the poet WB Yeats, his artist brother Jack Yeats and Countess Markievicz and explore the beautiful alpine and kitchen gardens.

Enniskillen & Devenish Island

We travel east along the shores of beautiful Lough Erne to Enniskillen. There we board the MV Kestrel for a wonderful boat trip taking in the scenery as we journey to Devenish Island, a former monastic site with the atmospheric ruins of St Mary's Priory and spectacular round tower. We have free time to explore the town, returning via Belleek Pottery, one of Northern Ireland’s oldest and most fascinating attractions.

Adara & Glencolumbkille Folk Village

This morning we visit the village of Adara, home to the Donegal Tweed Visitors Centre where you watch the master weavers at work on the heritage looms. Later, we travel via the Glengesh Pass to Glencolumbkille Folk Village, returning to Ballyshannon via the coast.

Donegal Town

This morning we visit Donegal Town, overshadowed by the stunning Bluestack Mountains. We return to Ballyshannon for a free afternoon.

Travel home

Morning transfer to Belfast for the late morning sailing to Loch Ryan. We disembark early afternoon and travel south via the main roads and motorways, arriving into our local area early evening.
