Kerry casts a magical spell over its visitors.  Generations have been enchanted by its exceptional landscape of mountain ranges, mirrored lakes, and ancient forests, woven together by an intricate coastline.  This favoured corner of Ireland fires the imagination and gently soothes the soul.  Our base is Castleisland, the gateway to the Kingdom of Kerry and our excursions include the Dingle Peninsula, a local day around Killarney and the lakes, a visit to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park Museum, a boat trip around Dingle Bay and the chance to visit Muckross House & Gardens.  We also explore the Ring of Kerry, truly Ireland’s most beautiful coastline.

The **** TALBOT HOTEL is situated on the south side of Dublin, a few minutes’ drive from the port. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press or iron and Wi-Fi. There is a lift.

The *** RIVER ISLAND HOTEL is a family run hotel located on the lower main street of the town of Castleisland, ideal for a relaxing stroll after dinner.  All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, tea making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press, safe and Wi-Fi.  There is a lift.

Depart for Ferry Crossing to Dublin

We journey to Holyhead to board the early afternoon Irish Ferries to Dublin. We then transfer to Stillorgan for overnight half board accommodation at the Talbot Hotel.

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park Museum & Castleisland

We travel via Roscrea and Limerick to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park Museum where 19th century life is re-created, set in the grounds of a medieval fortress featuring over 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village and rural setting. We continue to Castleisland for 4 nights half board accommodation at the River Island Hotel.

Killorglin & Ring of Kerry

Today we visit County Kerry, calling at Killorglin (coffee stop) before continuing around the world-famous Ring of Kerry with its dramatic, rugged seascapes and glorious countryside. Our route takes us via Sneem and Molls Gap to view the Lakes of Killarney with its scenic views. A day to remember!

Dingle Peninsula & Boat Trip

Our excursion takes us on a scenic tour below the Slieve Mish Mountains around the spectacular Dingle Peninsula where we enjoy dramatic coastal views of an area steeped in history. We include a boat trip from Dingle Bay with full commentary, bringing to life this fascinating part of Ireland. You will learn the story of Dingle, it’s people and their way of life in times gone by.

Killarney

We visit the traditional Irish town of Killarney, situated in beautiful countryside, which makes Killarney a very special place indeed, a must visit destination for any traveller. Brim full of history, heritage, activities, and world class hospitality, it has recently won Ireland’s tidy town competition. Enjoy a tour of the town by Jaunting Car or visit Muckross House & Gardens (price not included).

Depart for Adare & Dublin

We depart Castleisland and travel via Adare, a designated Heritage Town, one of the prettiest and friendliest in Ireland. We retrace our journey to the outskirts of Dublin for overnight half board accommodation at the Talbot Hotel.

Saturday

Depart for Ferry Crossing & Home

We depart our hotel and transfer to Dublin for our early morning sailing to Holyhead (breakfast included on board). Travelling through North Wales, we’re back into the local area late afternoon.
