This traditional hotel occupies a sprawling Victorian mansion and is a 10-minute walk from the promenade. Period-style rooms feature en suite bathrooms, TV, telephone, tea making facilities and hairdryer. There is Wi-Fi in public areas. Meals are served in a grand bay-view dining room, and the lounge offers an open fire and bar. There is a lift.

Travel to Grange-over-SandsDeparting late morning we travel to Grange-over-Sands for 4 nights accommodation at the Cumbria Grand Hotel. A glass of bubbly or sherry will be served prior to dinner, which is followed by an evening of entertainment.

Lake DistrictWe enjoy an excursion into the Lake District travelling via the shores of Lake Windermere to Hawkshead. Our return to Grange takes us via Coniston Water. After dinner, you can enjoy another evening of entertainment.

CartmelToday we travel via the medieval village of Cartmel returning early afternoon for free time in Grange. This evening a traditional Christmas Dinner will be served with all the trimmings, followed by hot mince pies to accompany tonight’s entertainment.

KeswickOur destination today is the town of Keswick, where today is market day. Wander the wide variety of shops, cafes and tea rooms whilst enjoying the views of Skiddaw Mountain and Derwentwater. A 3-course carvery dinner will be served this evening and a ‘New Year’ night of entertainment

Travel homeWe visit the Dock Museum in Barrow in Furness before travelling home, arriving into our local area mid-afternoon.
