Welcome to Wales, the land of song and scenic beauty where the mountains of Snowdonia sweep down to stunning coastlines. This tour incorporates an interesting visit to the National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port, 2 memorable railway rides and Portmeirion. Our base is now the Royal Goat Hotel, a family owned hotel located in the heart of Snowdonia in the beautiful village of Beddgelert.

The restaurant serves a varied menu using locally sourced supplies and there is a well-stocked bar/lounge. Depart for Beddgelert

We travel to Ellesmere Port where we visit the National Waterways Museum, home to one of the greatest collections of historic boats in the world. We continue to Beddgelert for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Royal Goat Hotel.

Portmeirion & Welsh Highland Railway

This morning we travel to Portmeirion, after time to explore the enchanting Italianate style village we join the Welsh Highland Railway and journey from Porthmadog through the Snowdonia National Park. We disembark in Beddgelert where you can either rejoin our coach and continue to Betws-y-Coed, or spend free time in Beddgelert.

Abersoch & Pwllheli

We enjoy a coastal drive to the yachting resort of Abersoch for a coffee break before travelling to Pwllheli where today is market day. After lunch we return via Criccieth for an afternoon by the sea.

Barmouth & Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway

We travel south on the Cardigan Bay coast to Barmouth for a lunch stop. We then transfer to Tywyn where we join the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway, for our unhurried single journey along the beautiful and unspoilt Fathew Valley to Abergynolwyn.

Return home via Langollen

We travel to Llangollen for refreshment before continuing our journey home, arriving late afternoon.
