Today we visit Wentworth Woodhouse, one of the UK’s grandest stately homes featuring a beautiful baroque façade that is the longest of any country house in the UK. Wander through centuries of history in the principal State rooms and linger in these impressive spaces imagining yourself at a grand ball or a luxurious dinner. Later head outdoors to explore the 50 acres of historic gardens that include colourful border gardens, shaded woodland copses and a peppering of follies and monuments across the landscape. You can also enjoy a tasty lunch in the sympathetically restored Camelia House restaurant or take a short walk to the Wentworth Garden centre, with its own lovely gardens, variety of eating places and a wide selection of locally grown plants and gardening accessories.
