A new weekend break and a new hotel to the Bibby’s portfolio in a very popular seaside town. The Royal Hotel is a long-standing Grade II list building, in a cliff top location and has been offering accommodation for many years. It was purchased in 2024 and since then the new owners have been investing and refurbishing the hotel to bring it up to current standards.

We begin our day with a visit to Harrogate. Later we travel across the North York Moors to Whitby for 2 nights half board accommodation at the Royal Hotel.

Enjoy a full day in this picture postcard seaport. It is dominated by the cliff-top ruins of the 13th century abbey and The Captain Cook Museum, also reflects the rich history and coastal beauty of this North Yorkshire coastline.

Return Home via Thirsk
Travel home via Pickering, Helmsley, with a stop in Thirsk, arriving back into our local area early evening.
