To coincide with the annual Yorkshire Day celebration, we have put together this overnight break to celebrate all things Yorkshire. Join us as we take you on a journey through ‘God's Own County’ taking in breath-taking scenery from a heritage steam train and enjoying fascinating visits to some Yorkshire gems. Our accommodation is top class and will feature a Yorkshire themed evening meal and after-dinner quiz.

Depart for Train Journey, Haworth & Leeds
It is Yorkshire Day! We depart our local area and travel to Keighley where we board an impressive steam train, travelling along the stunning Worth Valley heritage line to Oxenhope. Later we take a short drive to Haworth and take time to explore this charming Pennine town with its world-famous Bronte Parsonage, cobbled high street and scenic views, before continuing to the outskirts of Leeds for 1 nights half board accommodation at the Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa. This evening we enjoy a Yorkshire themed dinner, followed by a quiz.

Newby Hall & Gardens & Return Home
We travel north to a stunning Georgian gem situated in the heart of ‘God’s Own County’, Newby Hall & Gardens. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren with breath-taking Robert Adam interiors and Chippendale furniture we include a guided tour so you will have the opportunity to view the many beautiful treasures found in this elegant house. The 25 acres of gardens are no less impressive featuring a series of themed ‘rooms’ and herbaceous borders with plenty to discover, plus there’s a dolls house exhibition and teddy bear house that is home to the lifelong collection of broadcaster Gyles Brandreth. Later we return home via the rugged scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
